Thursday, April 25, in two auditoriums of the National Museum of Indian Cinema in Mumbai, a large audience was able to watch a documentary, Son Rise, praising the courage of men and women who have testified about the horrors practiced in their villages in the state of Haryana to girls and women. The film is supported by United Nations Women and HeForShe, the United Nations global solidarity movement for gender equality. The director Vibha Bakshi explained to the audience the reasons that led her to make this documentary and her hopes. The screening was organized by several consulates general in Bombay, led by the wife of the Consul General of New Zealand. Sonia Barbry, Consul General of France, joined this action with enthusiasm.
